The Glamor of Air Travel

Running late to the airport doesn't exactly reduce the stress level. Will you win the game of Airport Roulette, or get some quality time with the booking agent?

Well, not only was my flight delayed just enough to grab a bite to eat, make some calls, and update the blog, but TSA was helpful, pleasant, and efficient. Plus, American Airlines seems to have found my lost status and upgraded me on both legs.

Gonna be a good day, Scooter. Don't often get the chance to say that at the airport ...

Its nice to see someone saying something nice about TSA. I do get tired of being blamed for things that are not TSA's fault.

Glad to hear you're experiencing good things, especially at an airport. I personally will probably never fly commercial airlines again. I would only get in trouble, because nothing enrages me more than wasting hard-earned tax dollars. They would probably sense my anger, and once that happens, TSA agents are total dicks. They'd think I'm mad at them personally, but I'm not. I'm mad at my government! They don't listen to the populace at all anymore. More than 80% of people are unhappy with their health insurance, so let's take away everyone's freedom to choose their doctor, and create a huge tax-funded bureaucracy that decides what's "covered." Two foreign wars that have been slow-played for the sake of defense contractors' bottom line. Bailouts for rich people who made bad investments. Subsidizing purchases of Hummer H2s for the sake of the environment. Continually feeding the lie about anthropogenic global warming. BO Bowing to foreign dignitaries as if our president were their royal subject. You see, this is why I have a blog. I need an outlet for my rage at all of this crazy tyranny being crammed up the @$$ of the American People.

When you go through the airport, pissed of at the long lines and the attitudes of the airport workers - be nice. Look around you at the traveling public. Obnoxious bunch, ain't they. How many thousands of people do the workers have to put up with? No matter what you have to do to get on the plane - strip to your socks, whatever - be nice. Say thank you. Smile. You'll make somebody happy who really needs it. And you'll worry them all day. "Why was that guy happy? What did I miss? Is he an inspector? Did I pass? Will they assign me to Delta next?"
