"Dogs playing Poker" painting sells for record price

The famous picture "Dogs Playing Poker" just sold for $658,000 at auction.

The art market is, err, ruff.

The artist responsible for the Dogs Playing Poker series was one Cassius Marcellus Coolidge. He also invented a technology still in use today....silly pictures you put yourself into by sticking your head through a hole and becoming, well, whatevers. So C.M. Coolidge kind of did invent the Selfie.

An underappreciated genius in my humble opinion.

Wait... This isn't The Onion? You mean someone really paid 2/3 of a million for that?

Damn! I didn't know it was up for auction!

I would have paid an easy $20 ... maybe thirty ... for this oft-reproduced piece of art!
