The Cycle

When you are born, you cry, and the world rejoices. When you die, you rejoice, and the world cries.
-Buddhist saying

If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call to make, who would you call and what would you say?

And why are you waiting?

Tough call. . . my parents. . old age is such that if I called, they might not know it was me.

Call my best friend in the world, the one that's been there through thick and thin, or my only living child? Happy on her own, living her own live without encumbrance.

Tough call. I'll call them both tonight.
