The City of Houston sent me a bid package that went 246 pages when I was working. I think I made it thru about 150 before I threw in the towel and called the purchasing agent. One item was that we would sell our product to them at a lower price than GSA. That's a crime. He did not know that.
I didn't use to laugh at these sorts of things but then I moved away from 30 years of dwelling in the Dessert and California about 13 years ago and laugh and laugh. OTOH, it was sad to let go of Emeryville 20 years ago and Encinitas and Solana Beach where I lived for years. Still, what Cali does doesn't make me grind my teeth anymore and the people there fully deserve what they vote for.
