Wayne is right. U.S., western allies, Afghan forces, civilian (both Afghani and foreign), and Taliban losses total around 147,000 . Still, a lot of lives to accomplish taking and returning power to the Taliban.
And for all that, managed not to do appreciably worse than anyone else who's tried it on...and some of the Best People were paid handsomely, so there's that.

Yes, but Biden said you needed F-15s not AR-15s to defeat the US military. Maybe you just need Ak-47s ?
