I love baseball. I was desperately hoping they'd stay out of politics. Apparently I was hoping in vain, so I'll miss it, but that's not going to change my reaction.
Entertainment for nitwits; dead to me, forever. No great loss.
But I'm hoping the government mandates 50% female players in all leagues carried on public airwaves within the next 5 years. Sauce for the goose, and/or will drive the whole circus to the backwaters of society, where it belongs in perpetuity.
Until all athletes have to get real jobs in the off-season to keep a roof over their heads year around, like they used to, it hasn't been crushed enough.

Most of the news about players is how much money they make, not their athleticism anyway. Who cares anymore?

I never could figure out what people see it watching/ following baseball. My wife agrees with me even though her family is crazy about it!
