At this point, I have to don my security geek hat and say that stack overflows are bad security juju, especially in library functions (like math routines). If you're looking for computer security timelines, this is pretty good (my favorite from Back In The Day were all those servers "Hacked by Claire Danes"). For example, on this day in 1997 both espn.com and nba.com were shut down after customer credit card data was released.
