How bad is the new iOS 6 mapping app?

Man, that's bad.  Apple mockery seems to be an emergent Internet meme.

Anytime there's something as pompous as Apple, it will get served. Most likely a la mode...

Some of their "maps" look like Salvador Dali did them.....

I used to mock Apple regularly until I bought a couple of their products. I could see they did make an effort to make things easy to use, which I appreciated. So I cut them a little slack.

But Apple fans are always fair game for derision.

I haven't upgraded to iOS6 yet. Just not a priority. And I'm highly considering walking away from Mac OS X as my workstation ( I seem to be having more problems with it lately, and mucking with my workstation is not how I spend my productive hours ).

That being said, all those Android fans need to get their heads screwed on right. There is a world of difference in usability between Android and iOS. Not to mention the getting left-behind-by-your-vendor thing that goes on with Android. I'm still waiting for Samsung to do right by my Tab 10.1.

I say Yay for Apple mockery! I hate their computers and love their mobile devices, but I don't want them to get all fat and complacent. I'm very grateful for Android users - they're all that keeps Apple from completely lying down on the job.
