I've been to the Field. I've walked out into the corn and I know What is Out There. Field of Dreams was initially a short story. When Kinsella submitted it he got a polite brushoff that said it didn't work, maybe he should expand it into a novel. He took them seriously and did. Man had a sad life in a way....never attained the success again. Hit by a car and had residual brain injury such that he couldn't think/write/imagine any longer. Took is own life.

Sadly, MLB has ruined baseball....or was it the greedy owners, the greedy players?
