I've used a LoRA device. They're pretty terrible for keeping your cell phones connected. It's just like the FRS radios that say "Communicate up to 5 miles". They don't tell you that you can only achieve 5 miles if you are standing on a mountain peak on a bright, sunny day, and the person you are communicating with is standing on another peak 5 miles away and is standing with his arms above his head and good at understanding a you through an extremely low signal to noise ratio.
