@ Glypto Dropem I must apologize, as I had intended my response to be a good natured ribbing of our host, using the terms “time” and “hands” from the original Dad joke in a manner that would not offend and would be understood as such. I thought it would actually be seen as a funny repartee.
@libertyman: I read it the same way I read Borepatch's Dad Jokes -- tounge in cheek and funny because they are so bad.
Last month, after seeing a particularly egregious (read funny as hell) one I sent it to one of my sons. He responded that one of the kids was chastising him for his really bad jokes and that one was a lifesaver if only for a day or two. I had a Dad Jokes book shipped to him, for which I received a big thank you.
There are those of us who appreciate and understand them, even through the collective GROANS. :-)

Some people have too much time on their hands.
@libertyman: Some people need to lighten up and laugh a little.

The problem with clocks is that they refuse to Face the music....
@libertyman: No worries. I am the one who missed your joke, it is actually pretty funny. Although I do wonder about our friend Borepatch sometimes.
