You can define "privilege" as not suffering from consequences. We have watched our "Elites" imposing restrictions on us for decades - shutting down whole towns to "save the Spotted Owl", driving oil prices higher by banning drilling (and the high paying jobs that go with that industry), and most especially opening the borders to drive down incomes - it's not just hourly workers suffering from this now, it's also computer programmers put out of work by H-1B visa holders.
We've listened for decades about how "free trade" grows the economy and that everyone will be better off in the long run if we just keep up these policies - all the while watching whole towns, counties, and states wither as jobs flee and the population sinks into poverty.
In 2016 the people who were sinking into poverty actually stirred themselves and voted Donald Trump into office. It was finally consequences for the "Elite" class.
And we saw how they reacted - with disbelief, rage, contempt, and ultimately destroying the norms that had sustained this Republic by stealing an election.
Privilege in action, right there.

They haven’t suffered the consequences.
Yet.
"They haven't suffered the consequences, yet." There, I fixed it for you.
And, privilege has a depth of power. They can afford security (though if they don't pay their security a really decent amount, they may find their security isn't) and afford to live behind walls and be escorted and chauferred and such. They can afford private health care (like Hillary being able to afford Armour Thyroid (ground up pig thyroid) which is ever so much better than the artificial thyroid hormones available for us poor people (and, funny, even though Armour Thyroid has a proven track record, most insurances don't cover it...)
Privilege has a depth of protection that us poor people don't have. They can fall back behind steel fences guarded by the military, or retreat to beachside homes in places where if your car shows any rust, the cops pull you over.
Heck, privilege even gets your idiot kid a half mill a year job straight out of college even though she's about as pretty as she's smart.
This is NOT going to end like the elites think it will...

And, when all else failed, destoryed the economy under the guise of "Covid!!
to get rid of Trump.
What an asset stripping gang of crooks. And, even with industrial scale election fraud, millions still voted for them. I reckon that'll come home to bite 'em, and I'll echo NFO, "This is NOT going to end like the elites think it will..."
That in mind, and beyond short term brazen greed, what's the goal of our elite rulers? Ultimately, at the very top of the food chain, I'd argue destruction. They're nihilists, and it won't go well for them.
