I shot in San Diego for many decades, never in the Bay Area but now, after 10 years in Ohio I'm probably going to hit the range again some day and likely, an indoor range. I'm not looking forward to meeting any of these yahoos.
I don't go to the range that often now because of bad back pain. But I didn't see many of those people when I was going twice per month. My favorite range has a "no cameras" policy, for one. And the staff is pretty proactive about safety. And I'm a middling shooter: not good enough to give tips, but not need them much, either. Except, yes, I know I'm flinching, thank you, but the holes in the silhouette are all in the thoracic cavity, so . . .
And, no, you can't shoot my CZ75B (.40). Sue me. OTOH, you may try my S&W 625.
