Robert Plant and Alison Krauss - Gone Gone Gone

Today is Robert Plant's 70th birthday.  This song won a Grammy in 2008 and the album won five Grammys in 2009, including album of the year.  It's been a long way from Led Zeppelin.

Alison Krauss could sing the phone book and I'd pay for front row seats.
Whereas Robert Plant is merely legendary.

What a duet.
Thanks for that one.

These two together is just so wrong to me. Alison, who looks like and sings like an angel paired with one of the rock and roll legends, dare I say, bad boy, from the late 60's and 70's? Seriously? Sigh. I have seen Alison Krause and Union Station in concert twice and loved it. I hope to be able to see them again someday. So, it is just me, but I have a hard time liking this song, album or paring at all.

Frodo, she's sung with a lot of folks. She did a great version of No Mas Amor with Willie.
