A Young female colleague of mine and a sharp Engineer in her own right was in Paris on her honeymoon right before it burned and and she and her husband went over there and watched the work that was going on for while. When she came back she said. "They're gonna have a fire".
I refuse to get nostalgic until Eastern Europe starts impaling thousands of Muslim invaders again, their navies start treating refugee boats in the Med like Lepanto v2.0, and Spain brings back the good old days of Reconquista and Inquisition.
History really comes alive when you have a modern context to explain certain things you didn't get in 4th grade.

Hopefully they'll be able to celebrate Christmas Mass in a completed church this year.
That is good news!
