As you'd expect, Dwight has the skinny. Moving from battleships to naval aviation, he flew 200 combat missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Then he came back for Korea.

My father-in-law was stationed on the Arizona but was off duty that night. As a naval officer he had a cottage on the hills over the harbor.and was awakened by the bombing Sunday morning. He spent three days working rescue and recovery. Later, that same ar he got the serve off-shore during D-Day.
