They say it's not aliens ...

But it's aliens.  Or at least Lizard People.

This actually explains a lot.

"Old NFO" took the thoughts right out of my noggin. (How does he do it?)
I was going to suggest a taste test between Billy Beer and Biden Beer, but that's probably not possible, given the shelf life of beer. Too bad.

Setting politics aside the 1970's were the absolute Pit of Despair for beer drinkers. The small number of breweries that had staggered out from Prohibition were rapidly being whittled down as huge corporate Mega Breweries, beer factories to be blunt, consolidated the marketplace. In fact the small brewery that made Billy Beer went under one year after the promotion was launched. But that's getting back to economics and politics. Most of what was being made back then was frankly, swill. Beer consumers knew no better unless they had traveled overseas.

One of the few, perhaps the sole, great act of Jimmy Carter was to legalize home brewing. This resulting in a resurgence in interest and soon home brewers saw their little hobby getting out of control and the first micro breweries were launched. Now there are so many more options. You can find several local sources for whatever style you fancy, and it likely has not been sitting in a warehouse for months. A Golden age for beer. For political leadership.....well Carter is looking better in hindsight.

Everybody picks on the poor Sleestaks. They got it tough enough, being slower than damming and packing crossbows with a range of about four feet....

Also, T's comment above is spot on.
