This actually looks like an amount of snow that might be of consequence. Not the sort of light dusting that creates mass hysteria only because it falls in New York City.

Oh be quiet all of you. I spent 2 hours this morning conducting an archaeological expedition to un-snow my car. Which just looked like a big snowball. We wound up with 30 inches of light, fluffy, white powder. (Hey, Utah and Colorado are you missing something?)
Had 26" on the deck this morning which needed to be cleared off before the door could be opened so the dogs could get out to do their morning business. And when I walked over to where the cars are parked, I was up to my hips. I have lived here for 53 years, my landlord has been here 71 years, and we have never seen this much snow in less than 24 hours, ever!!! It was still green grass at 7PM last night. Between 2AM and 12 noon it came down so hard ya couldn't seen 30 feet away.
We wont even talk about how totally plugged up all the streets, especially the side streets are in town. It will take at least a week to get all the roads cleared back to 2 full lanes.
I spent a lot of time this afternoon talking with my home care patients making sure they had heat,lights,and were doing ok and was re-scheduling when my next visit would be. Only had to go out to see one patient, she lives close by and the issue didn't come up until 3 this afternoon, and the plow had actually gone by the house twice in the past 24 hours. Thank goodness for all wheel drive. I need to get a ticket to Florida, or go visit my sisters in Sandy Eggo.

Ah, memories of "snowmageddon", when MD got 7 feet of snow in three days. So glad I left.
