Court rules that they have to evaluate how many coal mining and power plant jobs will be lost based on their regulations. It seems that they haven't done this since 1977.
This will certainly get appealed, because the EPA will not be allowed to issue any regulations if job losses are considered.

Yep, it will be interesting to see if they even comply!
There's a penumbra or an emanation in there somewhere that'll get them off the hook. The government doesn't say "no" to itself on anything that matters.
Not a problem ...... the EPA will just makeup numbers for an equal amount of green energy jobs created to offset the number of actuall jobs destroyed
EPA does not care what the courts say. Rules for thee but not for me.
Exactly the point i was going to make. How many jobs were created just making diesel particulate filters in 2006 and 2007 alone.
Epa isn't even worried, they can show job creation overall, I bet.
Folks, if you believe the Archdruid on this topic (and I do), those jobs are going away Real Soon Now whether or not the EPA shuts them down or the coal companies go bust. A more fruitful line of inquiry would be "what non-coal jobs can we create". That's if you can quit complaining about the government and think about solutions.
