Booting a MITS Altair 8800

Set the boot loader via front panel switches.  No school like the Old School, baby.

That was a bit before I got into computers.

The first one I actually had to use was a NorthStar Horizon.

It had two 5.25" floppies, a Z80A, and ran "Micro-Soft" DOS.

We had a dumb terminal, and a dot-matrix printer (a Heathkit I built), and we used it for program development of early programmable controllers for industrial control systems.

I think I still have an Altair somewhere in storage in ETX. I'll go rummage around for it next time I'm out that way and drag it to the house to see if I can clutter my office up even more.
