Class Warfare - Jules Crittenden edition

I need to start reading the Herald. Jules is on fire, too, about how the Democrats are losing the Class War, and losing big:
Then he did something I’m not sure any politician has done since JFK. Without asking for them to support his platform or his party, without offering any election bribes, he asked them simply to serve, each in his or her own way, and with him, to be the best they can for their country.

I don’t think you have to have been tortured, or even to have shown up in dire, mortal circumstances to get that. I think the librarians and nurses and PTA moms and little league coaches all get that, and understand it is the most basic non-partisan political message of all. Give something, expect nothing.

His roundup of media reactions is hilarious:
Gloria Steinem: Affirmative action is wrong! Ambitious, accomplished woman doesn’t belong on a national stage. Women deserve power, except when I don’t agree with them. Republican baby mamas belong in the kitchen. I dunno, something like that.
This all must seem so unfair. They were always the smartest kids in the class. Now people are laughing at them, saying they don't understand the OODA Loop. And what's it mean when they say that McCain's on their six?

Heh.

No, they were always the kids that THOUGHT they were the smartest in class.

I'll leave the pilot analogies to those who are good at it. Suffice it to say that McCain did what no one expected, especially Obama. Now, Obama looks like the guy with no fresh ideas.
