I too, had banned "Birdchaser" from my blog 75 Million Pissed Off Patriots for a time for leaving insulting comments with no value. However, subsequent comments of his have been civil and allowed to appear so his ban has been lifted. Because of the "Sensitive Content" warning I put up that forces a login to verify a persons age, I have comment moderation turned off. But I do go back and review submissions and any that don't follow the rules WILL BE VAPORIZED and the user banned.
He’s also earned the banhammer for showing his ass on my blog. One other guy’s there and a third is auditioning.
I don’t understand why the concept of acting nice in other people’s spaces is so difficult to grasp.

I've only had to "ban" one commentator on Detritus of Empire. I have moderation turned on and its really easy to just ignore some things.
Some mouth-breathers just gotta show what low IQ does to Critical Thinking, respectfulness, and just plain decency.
