How Florida recovered from Hurricane Ian so quickly

These linemen are restoring power to Sanibel Island.

Shock and awe.

Helps not having corrupt politicians running the show. So, well, it's good that Broward County or Orange County didn't get hit...

The whole recovery has been a pretty decent lesson in what a bit of planning and preparation can do. Thanks for highlighting the efforts of so many.

I'm struck that they have good weather to work in.
Up hear, it's usually still thundering or there's ice everywhere.
But good on 'em.

Lines men? Heroes, everyone of them

And MANY of them from out of state. I saw a Wyoming line truck in Brevard County, don't know if there were any from further away. And the nice thing is that our local linemen will go to help THEM when they have problems!

When we had our tornado in Dec. Samaritan's Purse shows up along with a number of other organizations. But the one's who came and worked so hard on my property were from all over the USA with at least 5 from Florida. I'm so happy that you all are getting back to normal so quickly. Friend just returned from working in Fl. for the last 18 days.

This pic clearly shows that there can't be electricity without diesel fuel ...
