People are scratching their heads as to what motivated what is without doubt the most divisive Presidential speech of my lifetime. One suspicion is that he is trying to incite some of the 75 million Trump voters to start shooting. Likely the FBI is working overtime to entrap some "ultra MAGA semi-fascists" like like they ginned up the plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan.
Remember, kids - they guy who says it's time to start shooting Federales is the Fed. So don't take your guns to town.

The two explanations I like the best are this one - try to provoke someone on the right to get started and one that Tacitus alludes to; he's trying to motivate the Demo voters that hate him.
I've read that Democrat fundraisers have contributed more to "MAGA Republican" campaigns than the people that will vote for them. I think they're betting that they win in the general election against any MAGA candidate.
The REAL question is exactly WHO is behind this. It sure as hell wasn't Pedo Joe. All he cares about is a fresh pair of Depends, a pudding pop and a ten year old to sniff. On a GOOD day he can read the teleprompter without effing it up. He is NOT the moving force behind this. He is merely the convenient face that the people believe is doing this. He's a scapegoat. When he ceases to be convenient and useful he will be discarded and replaced. The people making all the decisions will still be in power and still making decisions.
There was massive fraud, corruption, and treason in the 2020 election.
Have those behind it been charged and prosecuted? Hell, NO!
What makes you think anything will be more honest THIS year?

The other possibility is that it was an attempt to provoke leftist attacks on patriots. All the SWATing going on supports this theory.
It just occurred to me that my parody verse up above was a riff not on "Don't take your guns to town" (1959) but on "Ruby don't take your Love to town" (first recorded 1966). I suspect Mel Tillis was inspired by the Johnny Cash original as there are thematic similarities.
My mind I of course jumped from politicians to harlots. Honor compels me to apologize to the latter group.
