Irony Day

That would be today, which is Youth Day in Red China*. It's a holiday that commemorates how China's youth took to the streets to protest their oppressors. In Tienanmen Square. Of course, that was in 1919, by the Glorious People's Youth, as opposed to the Running Dog Lackey Youth from 1989:

And speaking of Irony (and things military), today is the anniversary of the death of German Generalfeldmarschall Fedor von Bock, killed (with his wife and daughter) in an Allied fighter-bomber strafing attack. The irony enters this sad tale when you read about Herr General von Bock, appreciated by Hitler for inspiring his troops to die gloriously for der Vaterland: "Nobody in the world but Von Bock can teach soldiers to die."

Irony, irony über alles.

* I only say "Red China" pour ecraser les biens pensants.

I think the Chinese have resigned themselves to their fate.

Edge, that's because you're still youthful. Enjoy Youth Day!

Hammer, it seems like most of the world feels this way. Certainly Europe does.
