That is one righteous password

Ahem:

A person claiming responsibility for the breach of Denmark's Central Register of Persons (CPR) says they gained access through an IT company's account protected by the password "123456."

[blink] [blink]

I mean, don't these people go to movies?

So let me bottomline this for the Tech Nerds.  Hollywood has known since 1987 that this is a bad password.

Hollywood.

1987.

So since the script was probably written in 1986, this has been the subject of silver screen mockery for forty years.

Sorry to the good folks of Denmark.  It could be worse, though - Sweden has had people laughing at it for a good decade longer.

I will guarantee there was a nepo or immigrant hire on the project team that couldn't remember any password more complex than that...

The security team got tired of being raked over the coals every time Ms. Dumbf*cksdotter whined to upper management an actually secure password was 'too hard to remember'.......
