A Public Service announcement

All your drill batteries will be almost dead when you start a project.  Both will make the drill spin when you test them out, but they'll both be dead in an hour.

That's why I went back to my plug in tools. And I don't have to replace batteries every few years cause they've gone bad lack of use.

This is a law of nature, a direct corollary of Murphy's Law. As inviolable as Ohm's Law or Thermodynamics.

Gotta use the batteries regularly. If you don't they will lose their efficiency. NiCad was real bad about it, lithium ion is a lot better but they will too. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT TRUST LITHIUM BATTERIES UNATTENDED!!! I've had two lithium batteries burn up in my pocket. The first time was a Chinese flashlight from Amazon. The second time was a Sonim ruggedized flip phone. Several years ago there was some planes that had an issue with lithium batteries I believe.
