Pete Rose, "Shoeless" Joe Jackson and others now eligible for Hall of Fame

The sports news this week is Pete Rose and "Shoeless" Joe Jackson being reinstated by Major League Baseball making them both eligible for the Hall of Fame.

My first thought was, "What are the odds on that?"

So when will the Steroid boyz be allowed in? That seems less of a crime then illegal betting.

MLB has lost all moral high ground as their links to organized gambling grows. They should induct the PEDS players, but put a notification on their plaque regarding PEDS usage.

Shoeless Joe's ban was baseless guilt by association.

Rose was a douchebag who was admittedly betting on his own games, has expressed zero remorse or guilt for his actions, and should continue to be banned from the HoF in perpetuity. He's one of the greatest players who ever stepped up to the plate, but you shouldn't get to be a cheat and liar and still get over.

That's the same reason the Steroid Boyz' stats should be expunged from their playing history forever.
