Word

Quote of the Day goes to B, who hits center mass:

50 years from now, no one is gonna bother to restore an electric Mustang to collect or drive.

Just sayin’.

Yup.

Not sure if modern cars would even be restorable as they have so many electronics that come and go. Mechanical things can be repaired, but if you don't have the right chip, will the car even run? If your "infotainment" center fails, good luck.

You could always build a Factory Five Cobra and have a carburetor and old fashioned gauges -- they will work.

Dear Little Wife had wanted a Mustang all her life, and the year I retired they gave us a big enough departing gift to buy her one. A two year old Mustang followed us home. Gasoline powered.

I don't think anyone is going to try to restore one of those either. libertyman nailed it.

While the odds are that statement is correct you can never be 100% sure.

Nothing newer than an early 1970's Mustang is worth restoring.

People are paying well above Blue Book prices for 20 to 40 year old Hondas, Toyotas, and Nissans to restore and modify. I haven't seen any demand for Chrysler K-Cars yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to find a few collectors (disturbed, but not surprised). Nostalgia is a powerful drug, maybe the most powerful.

If the Left gets its way, there might be a market of electric Mustangs. Of course, there won't be any electricity.
