Deap sea video of German Battleship Bismark

Last year a company called Magellan sent a deep sea rover 15,000 feet down to the site of the final resting place of the battleship Bismark, sunk 86 years ago.  The video is simply spectacular.  Here is a shortish excerpt with commentary.

And since we're talking about the Bismark, this song is obligatory.

Ughh - BP I’m in trouble on OyToob. I keep coming across these vids on The final days of WW2 and the story is about this senior officer in the Kriegsmarine who scheduled the U Boats to get the high party officials out of Germany before it collapsed. Apparently he was so disgusted with the rats fleeing the sinking ship - that he walked off the job, deserted his post and was never seen again. Then some hikers found a secret bunker with his remains in it 80 years later. Have you ever heard it? Or is it bunk? I can’t find the vid now…maybe it was too silly and outlandish for even the nobs at OyTube…

Glen, there's a ton of "slop" on Youtube, some AI generated but a lot of clickbait. I skip anything with a title along the lines of "Person A lauched at Person B until ..."

I'd never heard anything like the story you related. I'm very skeptical.

5km deep isn't 2.5 miles. It's 3.1 miles. (Walking in Euroland made me sort of bilingual in measurments.)
