John Barry - Theme to Body Heat

Body Heat was a 1981 remake of the classic 1944 film Double Indemnity.  Known mostly for the skin showed by Kathleen Turner, about the only thing really superior about the remake is John Barry's spectacular Film Noir score.

Hmmmm, I think I bought the DVD of Double Indemnity based on your January(?) review. I have it here somewhere and have not watched it. Now I must hasten to buy Body Heat, but first I will watch Double Indemnity.
Anyway, John Barry was an amazing talent and is right up there with John Williams in composing.

Good class today, and as always, just back from Maine.

Disagree somewhat.
Aside from Kathleeen Turner's...assets on display,
the casting was inspired for relative unknowns, and the plot twist at the end was worthy of Hitchcock.
Barry's score is just icing on the cake.

Libertyman, you won't be disappointed in that film.

Aesop, there were a lot of no-names that were great fun (c.f. Ted Danson). But overall my impression was that it was a "meh" remake of Double Indemnity.

But the score was a delight.
