Have a dog that's been gone since 1991 and I still miss her. Some just hit that sweet special spot. Have an abused rescue who's 17 and the end is almost here. It's now a day to day. But at 81 I would take an older rescue dog. I've lived with animals all my life and can't imagine not having one. I had a GS named Wolfgang when I was in my early 20's. Wonderful dog and so protective of the children. So sorry about Wolfgang. I'm really looking forward to that meeting at the rainbow bridge.

Friend, Wolfgang will indeed meet you at the rainbow bridge.
Please seek out a new dog that really needs your love and kindness.
He or she will never be Wolfgang but will love you as long as it lives.
And Wolfgang will welcome that dog at the rainbow bridge to wait for you together.
