Funny . . . . they're not the smartest of birds in the spring. A friend saw a flock the other day in his back yard . . . . this morning is was 8. Perhaps they should have delayed their flight! :)
Up here, the seagulls are a more reliable harbinger of warmer weather; they don't arrive until after the last freeze - whether late March or mid-May.
