While eating breakfast in the Las Vegas airport this morning, I met three ironworkers from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They said that work had been slow lately. Did they expect the stimulus bill going through Congress to help them out? Would $1 trillion in new government spending lead to more construction jobs? “That’s just blowing money up a wild hog’s ass.”Why yes it is.
