Umm, please re-consider a new name. Il Duce in Italian sounds exactly like the American pronunciation of douche (a perjorative not unknown to most males but a product for females). How about Dabney? Great actor. ;-)
As with children, parents rule on dog names. My mother always resented parental interference when it came to naming me. I cited that when she tried to interfere with the naming of my children.

That would be "Il Duce"...Italian for "the leader".
