Joe Rogan interviews Elon Musk about Starship

This is a fascinating conversation.

This is SO not like the NASA interviews when I was a kid.

Mr. Musk built a plant in 19 months to refine lithium for his batteries, in addition to space stuff, car stuff and tunnel stuff. Amazing in every sense of the word. How many jobs has this created? A lot! I guess he is calling it quits in California and no wonder.

"His rockets blow up too much." These kids know nothing, in this case the early days of NASA. If one looks for it, there is a lot of colorful film.

One of the best things I've heard in years is we might have the first Starship launch from the KSC this year!!. I may even drive up the road for that, although if they fly SE instead of NE, that might mean I stay here.

We got to see the upper stage of Test Flight 11 last time. Launch time and time of day here aligned perfectly to see it flying west to east down over the tip of Florida. I want to see the first stage, "more powerful than a Saturn V" flying.

It was the Navy in 1957 rather than NASA but the Vanguard explosion was a classic.
