Military sights for the Ruger 10/22

The new Tech Sights for #2 Son's 10/22 are not just functional, but they dial the bad-assitude up more than a couple notches.

The front sights are the real deal.

So is the rear peep sight - dials for range and windage.

The camera angle is somewhat off center here - I can get quite a good sight picture through the peep sight, but the dumb auto-focus can't get the image crisp.  I need to play around with the manual settings of the camera.

Plus, they're dead simple to install.  With the sling and extra magazines - not to mention the SKS and 500 rounds for center fire shooty goodness - we're pretty much ready for Appleseed.

I love the Tech-Sights I put on my 10/22 - just have to get used to the odd adjustment interval.

Cool...I like that very much. I'm old and set in my ways, so I love those military sights. Just something comfortable and familiar about them that makes my shooting much better.

I put those on our Marlin .22s here, and haven't ever regretted it. FAR better sight picture.

Dagnabbit, quit posting gun stuff! You mentioned Appleseed and I went and bought a rimfire semi over the weekend. I was thinking of a Remington 597 or a Savage 64, but my local store didn't have any with iron sights. So I got a 10/22.

Now you're showing me better iron sights. I'm going broke!

Dave, yeah I know what you mean. I don't yet have more money into the 10/22 than I spent on it in the first place.

Yet.

LOL, it HELPS if you can see well enough to actually USE them!

I really like mine, especially since I'm using the 10/22 as a trainer for when I get Girlie Bear an AR.

I have some of these sitting on my Amazon wishlist until I have the extra cash. I've got to get a new stock first (old one is busted).

I really like those sites. They look great on the stock gun. I did a little post on my blog about the M-1 conversion and it uses those sites. It maybe something to look at for the next step for this rifle. Here is the link if you are interested: http://ruger1022.info/ruger-1022-m1-conversion/

I built a M1 coversion 10/22 last month using the tech sights. Came out great, and when I was done I put the key to adjust the rear sight someplace safe. When it was ready to try out at the range a week later, I had already forgot where that safe place was. :( Growing old sux!
