In the ongoing effort to protect the world from Borepatch, the following actions have been taken by The Blogger Team.

If this continues, I will make a sidebar widget to list the posts that The Blogger Team is protecting you from.
So we now know where all those fired Twitter moderators have landed.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, who's Wheaties did you urinate in?
What Beans said.
ReplyDeleteYou all be safe and God bless.
I had a couple older ones taken down on my site. I think it was because of links I had in the posts. Yours were odd, seemed pretty harmless. Maybe the last one was because you mentioned Watergate's DT? Automatic moderation is pretty dodgy. The middle one because of the swearing in it?
ReplyDeleteAnyway -- it is always annoying.
They've got time to read eleven year old posts and put them behind a warning screen? They better hope their CEO doesn't figure out nobody will fire Musk for firing the losers and maybe, just maybe, they should do the same thing to half their 'safety' people.
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteI feel like a slacker now.
How have they missed the turdnuggets I've been dropping for years?
Good question, Aesop. Compared to the newly banned you're a raging fire.
ReplyDeleteDamn... Guess I got lucky...
ReplyDeleteIs there a Bloggolist of Persons to be Checked? I am not on the list, apparently. I have posted things far more insensitive/non-Progressive than things others have been censured and otherwise flogged for, yet nothing happened. It would be a mark of achievement. In a newspaper column of the last century, I took to task several local and regional organizations that received funding from local and county governments and yet did nothing to warrant the money. The head of one organization said to another reporter, "Tell that Bob Merriman he is nothing but a rabble rouser." I said, "Next tine you see him, say 'Thank you' for me. It has been years since I roused a rabble."
ReplyDeleteIs this action against you a result of what you've posted, or because of how we've responded? You know how you can stir things up in us borderline radicals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving the full URL's of the 'problematic' posts. At least I was able to find the 'horribly ????' (not sure what was so offensive) post on What Smells Good. Jeez, what a bunch of weenies.
ReplyDeleteSimple commentary on smells and how people react to them is enough to get a post removed?
Maybe it's time to host this somewhere else...
Wayback Machine for "What Smells Good."
ReplyDeleteHad to re read them since they pissed off the right people. Way for them to help advertise your site.
ReplyDeleteI ran into a problem with Blogger in 2019. They didn't merely censor me, they took down my whole blog. I was accused of violating the terms of service for promoting or selling "regulated" items which means firearms, drugs, etc.
ReplyDeleteI eventually got it restored a few days later after Google said "oops, our mistake."

I ended up abandoning Blogger and setting up my blog using an independent host and using Wordpress. I will be happy to put you in contact with Kyle who hosts my blog and other 2A content as a service to the community. Just email me at jpr9 AT earthlink DOT net.
I moved off Blogger to a Wordpress site in May of 2021 in anticipation of something like this. I just checked the old dashboard and was informed that one (or more) of my old posts was unpublished for failing to conform to Community Guidelines.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it didn't tell me WHICH post(s) were unpublished.
Looks like the Iranians are more likely to protest their tyrranical government than Americans..
