It was quite a success, with perhaps 75 of us in attendance. The organizers were quite pleased with the event.
By "Fundraiser", of course, I mean "Traffic Court". I must confess that my respect for the explosive growth of picayune laws that are arbitrarily enforced has gone way, way up.
Did you get in trouble? I only got a "warning" this morning at 6:00 am.

I don't know how universally true this is, but in Maryland they've stopped even pretending that speeding is a safety issue. On the highway if they randomly get you on radar they'll take a picture of your tags and send you a bill in the mail. As long as the car owner just sends them money they don't report it as an offense that puts points on anybody's license.
