We've found a Mormon! Can we burn him (in everlasting Hellfire)?

I was going to mock the dumb as a rock Pastor Robert Jeffress, but on reflection realized that it had already been done.

So if his doctrine weighs more than the Pentecostals, then he's made of wood outside the mainstream ... and therefore a Mormon!

Not to belabor the point, but anyone who wants to suggest that my Father-in-law is burning in hellfire is walking on the mockin' side of me.

He turned Rick Perry's Presidential hopes into a newt!

It got better ...

Yeah, maybe.

Oh, who am I kidding?  You knew I was going to mock him, didn't you?  Allrightee ...

You know, I hadn't realized that Robert Jeffress was a Harvard Man.  Let's look at the checklist:

Overeducated to the point where he knows all the details but entirely misses the point of the whole damned thing?  Check.

Surrounds himself with a narrow group of like-minded people.  Living in an intellectual bubble where nobody will ever tell him Dude, WTF?  Check.

Entirely convinced of his own righteousness, as well as the evil of his opponents?  Check.

Yup.  Must be a Harvard Man.

  1. As if Perry wasn't doing himself in fast enough, now he has "help".
Perry's got another chance to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory tonight. I'm beginning to wonder who he will endorse. Mitt Romney is right out, and Herman Cain dissed him by saying there would be no Cain VP for Perry. Bachman nagged him to death with the gardisil thing. Perhaps Perry will just go away and sulk.
