This is a second stream of income for Vince Gill (and almost every other songwriter), alive and - surprisingly often - post mortem (the amount and variety of shenanigan's in this aspect of the music business is more of a testament to human creativity than is the music created, so enter at your own risk).

I'm a long-time fan of The Eagles - there's a Vietnam vet story there we will ignore - and the personal and professional relationship between that band and singer/songwriter member Don Henley with record company owner David Geffen is a classic, and very public, example of the types of shenanigans to be expected when it comes to making money from your music, and who gets it. Some of which story is also on You Tube.
Will Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13454533450309633627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6322916946732811685.post-34918589612601975292021-01-30T23:43:05.317-05:002021-01-30T23:43:05.317-05:00What a great tune! What a great tune!LSPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08120630078039958644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6322916946732811685.post-138208727629987962021-01-30T13:31:33.965-05:002021-01-30T13:31:33.965-05:00He is a scratch golfer as well.He is a scratch golfer as well.Bear Claw Chris Lapphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01190524236686025884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6322916946732811685.post-64553472297006598932021-01-30T10:23:54.047-05:002021-01-30T10:23:54.047-05:00I think this is off topic (don't care) How doe...I think this is off topic (don't care) How does a guy get paid for his "songs" Do they get something like 6 cents per play? How can a guy like this, with all those historical "wins", continue to pay for his groceries when he hasn't had a top 10 song in quite awhile?Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02244853101089859845noreply@blogger.com
