Amazing that somewhere they found 800 old Krags sitting around. You can still find 30-40 Krag ammunition readily -- just not surplus like the old days. At $2.50 a round it becomes quite dear to shoot factory ammo.
Not sure if you could find any Krags cheaper any place else sadly.
Remington was making Core-Lokt ammo for it the last I knew. I used a Krag-Jorgensen in the carbine version for Whitetail Deer here in Michigan for a couple of years. It works fantastic, and the action is certainly butter smooth as they say. I gave it to one of my sons after my dad passed.
Civilized 'em with a Krag, and return us to our own beloved home.
Ran across that little ditty while researching a paper on the development of the M1911 for ROTC class. Can't post the first part without heads exploding these days.
Oh you GOTTA jump on that, BP…
ReplyDeleteCan you find ammo for it?

I mean, who ever said "Civilize them with an AR"?
ReplyDeleteKyle Rittenhouse, perhaps.
