I refuse to get nostalgic until Eastern Europe starts impaling thousands of Muslim invaders again, their navies start treating refugee boats in the Med like Lepanto v2.0, and Spain brings back the good old days of Reconquista and Inquisition.
History really comes alive when you have a modern context to explain certain things you didn't get in 4th grade.
