Roy Rogers was quite a guy and those clips brought back memories of Saturday morning westerns. The shows may seem corny now, but they were great entertainment at the time.
And yes, there is a resemblance in their features, and I suspect in their demeanor as well.
I always thought Clint Black would be the logical choice if they ever made a movie about Roy Rogers. I had a working farm and his kids grew up as working farm kids. That let them avoid the Hollywood trap so many children of stars fell into.
