  5. There sure have been a lot of musicians I liked passing on in the last few years.

    It's tempting to say it has something to do with "dying of suddenly" but that's its own kind of stupid. Being a musician touring for a living is a hard life - even without the opiates. What liver was he on? His 4th? 27th? And passing at age 81? That's pretty much standard chart longevity, plus or minus a standard deviation.

  7. Southern Cross is essentially Stephen Stills. He wrote it and sang lead. Crosby only appeared on it in a vid. and live shows.
