I did not know that

Derek Ward posts a link that sort of undermines the whole "Florida is the Gunshine State" narrative

However, when you take into account the total population of both states, this gives Texas 21 gun stores per 100,000 people and only gives Florida 13.4 gun stores per 100,000 people. For comparison, most states on this list have well over 20 gun stores per 100k people.

C'mon, Florida - those are rookie numbers.

On the converse side of things, Kentucky currently ranks the highest in terms of the total number of firearms purchased overall with the Bluegrass State purchasing more guns in the first half of 2022 than any other state in the union (a grand total of 2,094,787 firearms in the first 6 months).

Even ignoring the "Eastern Kentucky vs. Eastern Florida" mismatch, Kentucky is buying three times as many guns as Florida is.  Rookie numbers, indeed.

  1. The whole 'gunshine state' thing was because we were first to legal concealed carry.

Since then we haven't advanced much, pretty much not at all, thanks to our RINOS, mostly from southeast Florida.

We could have had full open Constitutional Carry years ago. But, no, we get stabbed in the back every time it comes up, not by our dem idiots but by our RINOS. Feckless RINOS.

DeSantis has said openly several times he'd sign Open Carry and full Constitutional Carry so quickly the ink would catch fire. But, no, feckless RINOS stab us every time.

  2. Stupid whining media types are the only ones that really whine about the gunshine state stuff, by the way.

  4. Apples to oranges.

Florida is probably stealing three times as many guns as Kentucky is.

    Touché.

  5. When Ohio (the original habitat of the American RINO) gets Constitutional carry before a state with a governor panting to sign it, you indeed have a Feckless RINO infestation.

  6. Now I think about it, maybe time the next go-round for Florida Constitutional carry for when the back-stabbers have a primary they need to win. That's how Ohio got DeWeathervane to sign Ohio's Constitutional carry bill.

Weird how Ohio has so many RINO pols, considering the Ohio Space Program boasts the most hard-core operators since Cookie Monster.

  7. Kentucky probably makes more off the record firearms than Florida can steal. Kentucky Proud!
