Last time I checked the temperature, at 2pm, it was 85 with a "Feels Like" temperature of 91. I could do without that a bit longer.
I think of us as 180 degrees out of phase with the rest of the country. When they're coming out of their houses in April or May, I'm retreating into my air conditioned shops and spaces. They're inside all winter outside all summer; I'm outside all winter and inside all summer.
Not hating here, just a little envious of my friends in that area going to Tiki Bars and enjoying more freedom there from cold weather and the Covid Diktat so prevalent up here.
Summer will be karma... but that is Summer.

Same planet, different world.
6PM and minus 6*, forecast to drop to minus 17 tonight. It was minus 8 last night, so we're running about 30 degrees below "normal".
ReplyDeleteOuch! Stay safe and warm, drjim.
DeleteI'm not a fan of hot weather; but central Louisiana is under a hard freeze warning until Tuesday and I could do without that, too! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou all be safe and God bless.
Minus 8, according to the little weather thingee in the corner of my screen.
ReplyDeleteBet you Floridians don't have long underwear in your stores.
