The dog that hasn't barked

With all the discussion of free and fair elections (or lack of same), I find it odd that one particular quote has not been seen lately.  It is from Judge Alex Kozinski, in his dissent to the denial to hear Siveria v. Lockyer en banc

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed - where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

With credible accusations of widespread fraud - more than enough to change the outcome of an election, and with the Courts seemingly unwilling to step in to guarantee a public and transparent audit and investigation, this seems to me to be more pertinent than ever.

  1. I don't think the dems expected to be called on the fraud. And now they are afraid of what 'else' may happen...

  2. They do not have the sense to fear the storm that they have unleashed.

  3. We all need to be afraid of what else may happen. Twitter, Facebook and Google censoring half the year. The MSM completely and even hysterically in the bag for Biden. And now YouTube has begun removing posts that refer to election fraud. 75 million people are ROYALLY PISSED! The whole damn world sees how bad the fraud is. Did these people really believe that there wouldn't be consequences?! I don't want another Civil War, but big tech, MSM sycophants and cowards in power are taking away all of our "peaceful" options.
    Even if Trump wins the legal battle and gets 4 more years, at this point the pot has been stirred relentlessly from both directions. I'm not sure that it's not already too late. This whole situation feels like a powder keg that's just waiting for a spark.

  4. Old NFO, I can't say you are wrong.

    Unknown, ditto.

    Navy91, we'll see if cooler heads prevail. They will need to be fro the Left, which does not give a lot of confidence,

  5. As Navy 91 says, it is a powder keg waiting for a spark. Don't know if this will be the time as sparks are unpredictable but sooner or later it will happen. The situation predates the election and even the Age of Trump. The fatal miscalculation is that this is one country. It isn't, hasn't been for some time and never will be again.

  6. Hey Borepatch;

    It is like people are waiting for the legal system to work its way through, the media have been schilling "President-Elect Biden" since the Election and if President Trump is successful is overturning the election results from those states, the democrats will scream "Stolen election with the media and tech help. Whereas on the right side of the aisle, we are just waiting to see if the court will act constitutionally or if we are finally a banana republic and the rule of man has replaced the rule of law, The democrats are acting like "So what we did it, so what are you gonna do about it..." people are talking about "Well there is 2022 and 2024". It don't matter anymore, if this stands, the donks can override anything we do and install "their" candidates and make it look legal and we are screwed, and have no voice anymore in D.C and in our local capital.

  7. He was my favorite judge of the 9th. He was reliable listening material every time I drove to San Francisco from San Diego.
