1917

Specifically the movie 1917. The best movie I have in years. I want to post about it, but I will wait until it leaves the theaters. Go and see it. Consider the cost of war.

Some friends and I are seeing it Thursday. We're old - we get in for $5.

I wonder about the cost of NOT going to war.
I think we waited too long for WWII.
Many agree.

Oh, and my movie recommendation?
"Darkest Hour".

I had hoped to see it yesterday. Or today.
When I get over this cold.

Saw it yesterday, Sat 1/17. Story was quite the odyssey. Sam Mendes did a superb job switching scenes while simultaneously maintaining a continuous visual flow. Definitely Oscar material
