Army Manual Improvised Weapons & Munitions TM 31-210

The manual you are looking for is TM 31-210. Section 3 has directions to make pistols and shotguns out of materials you can purchase in a hardware store.

Buying a 3D printer, downloading and configuring the software, and printing a plastic single shot pistol is time consuming and expensive.

Do it the ARMY way.

We used to call them "Zip Guns" in Ye Dayes of Olde.

A 22LR fits perfectly into one of the sections of a telescopic car antenna, if you need a "barrel" in a pinch.....

Well, now we have trouble finding telescoping car antennae. These fallen modern times.

Thanks for this. I've had the manual for years, but downloaded your link to see if it was better than my copy. It was. Although it said the same date on the front cover (1969) this one has clearly been reformatted

I have an official paper copy, somewhere.
Many years ago, I borrowed a looseleaf version (if memory serves, the title involved Frankford Arsenal)... from one of the guys who'd worked on it. He was quite a character.

The funny thing is that Amazon has been selling plans to build guns for years.
